    What is graciousness?
    • A kind attitude and warm courteous
    • Being indulgent
    • Being pleasantly kind
    Why is it important for the society to embrace the value of graciousness?
    It is to avoid disrespectful to others, to know more about our surroundings and to know what the society is up to. We have to work together with the society to be closer and achieve our aim. We have to be kind to the society so as to let the people have a good impression of us and would also do the same to us.


    Here is an example story of showing graciousness:
    Every time when I board SBS Transit or SMRT Buses, I greet the Bus Captains with a cheery "Good Morning!" regardless of which bus I am on. In addition, the vendors at the drink stalls I frequent at Tanjong Pagar, Chinatown and Harbourfront always ask me how my day is going. I appreciate their care and concern for me very much, and I try to pass this on to others too.
